After a week that saw him take an elbow to the head from his teammate, be diagnosed with a mild concussion, miss the road trip to his hometown Chicago, and saw his head coach go off on a rant about the over-cautious handling of head injuries in the NBA, Anthony Davis is surely ready to be back on the court.  He'll be able to return as early as today.Davis, says John Reid of the New Orleans Time-Picaynne, could be ready to play today's game against the Charlotte Bobcats.  Davis is not experiencing any symptoms related to the concussion and says he feels good.  If he is in fact symptom free, he may be cleared to play."I feel good,'' said Davis, the No. 1 overall pick in the June NBA draft. "I've been on a bike, shooting, running and jumping, just seeing how everything feels,'' Davis said yesterday. "Hopefully, I will get a chance to play tomorrow. I'm not sure what's going on yet.''Davis was the number one overall draft pick and has already made an impact on his new team.  After spending one season at Kentucky, Davis entered the draft.  He is still just 19 years old, but he plays like an older, more experienced player. Davis has averaged 24.3 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game in his first two starts for the Hornets.  He has been sidelined for the last two games due to the concussion, and the Hornets have struggled.  They are 1-1 without Davis, but they scored 21 fewer points over the two games in which Davis sat on the bench. Davis, and his trademarked unibrow, are one of the big ticket items in New Orleans.  Even if the team does not end up being a true contenders, fans want to see him play.  It looks like they'll get a chance to start watching him again today.
