Bill Belichick has seen everything he needs from his prominent players this preseason.
Quarterback Tom Brady and many key starters will not play in tonight's preseason finale according to two sources. That means quarterbacks Ryan Mallett and Tim Tebow along with backups throughout the depth chart on both sides of the ball will have ample opportunities to show their stuff.
For some that means they'll have a final chance to prove whether or not they belong on the 53-man roster in time for Saturday's deadline. Others will get their shot to earn more playing time when the intensity heightens next week.
