Fox Sports Southwest:
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Tony Romo had a cyst removed from his back in April, causing him to miss all of mini-camp and organized team activities.
Following Saturday night's 24-18 preseason win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback said he's back to being completely healthy.
"Yeah, we're good to go," Romo said. "I'm 100 percent."
Romo was a full participant in training camp and has now played in three of the Cowboys' four preseason games. In 10 offensive series, Romo has completed 26-of-36 passes for 367 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
When asked about his preseason and training camp performance, Romo said he thought "it was good."
During the offseason, Romo works on improving his game by adding new skills to his arsenal. Despite the minor back procedure, Romo said he has tried to do the same this year.
"I think a lot of it just through my own technique sometimes is something that I really need the offseason every year," Romo said. "Situational football. You've got to practice football. You've got to be playing football. But you can always improve yourself technically and fundamentally on your own, and one thing I take pride in is always doing something like that in the offseason.
"I was able to get a little bit of that before this new thing I was working on just the throwing of the football and I hadn't been able to use it live all offseason. So I was very anxious to see it and when it came together for camp I was real excited it held up for camp and it held up for the preseason. I'm excited about just something that's real big that I've found that for me will allow me to take another step just fundamentally, technically and do some things at a higher level that I may not have been able to do in the past.
"That's pretty exciting from having the practices and the training camp. It was invaluable to me really."
The Cowboys have one more preseason game, Thursday night against the Houston Texans, but it's highly unlikely Romo would take even a single snap in that game. And because of that, his full attention going forward will be on the season opener Sept. 8 against the New York Giants.
"My preparation for the Giants will probably start tonight or tomorrow morning," Romo said Saturday night. "I think more than anything, I've sprinkled in a little bit but now I'm going to get real tightened up as far as a little more situational than an overview per se. I think the team will probably wait til the middle of the week but more than anything my stuff will start here this weekend."

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys' first-team offense are still looking for their first touchdown this preseason.

Throwing 177 touchdowns, against 91 interceptions, for 25,737 yards since debuting in 2006, the 33-year-old Romo and Dallas agreed to a six-year contract extension worth $108 million in March. “If there’s a bigger Romo fan in town, I don’t know...
Have the Dallas Cowboys finally taken steps to address a weak offensive line that has plagued the Cowboys and Tony Romo for a few years now?
Jerry Jones thinks so, and the owner is not scared to talk about it.
Jones told the Dallas Morning News that the Cowboys line is “the best that he’s seen in two or three years.”

Jason Witten is Tony Romo’s security blanket and get out of jail free card.
Witten for all statistics and timely catches is never really targeted in the red zone area, and he’d like that to change. Witten who had one red zone target in 2012 told ESPN that he wants the ball more in that area.
“That’s something we talked about this year, more than ever,” Witten said. “The...
Every week as the season gets closer we will look at players that are on the rising and falling. After the third week of preseason and Training Camp, here are the players that are on the move.
Two of my favorite QB targets in drafts are Tony Romo and Andrew Luck. Reggie Wayne is still a stud, TY Hilton is a budding star, DHB is better than...
The NFC East is year in, and year out, one of the best divisions in all of football.
The division is home to four of the NFL’s most talented, and mercurial quarterbacks in Michael Vick, Eli Manning, RG3, and Tony Romo of course.
Opinions on who the beast of the East truly is varies, but one things is for sure, it is a loaded division.
Redskins GM Bruce Allen also believes the division...
