During a match last week between Denmark and Portugal, Danish forward Nick Bendtner scored the tying goal and had a rather different celebration.  It was Bendtner’s second goal of the game and he felt the need to lift up his shirt and show the world his underwear. Today, UEFA came down hard on Bendtner, throwing a $126,000 fine and suspended him for one match of the World Cup qualifying.  But UEFA didn’t punish him because the celebration almost became graphic, they banged him because the logo on the underwear, Paddy Power, is not an official UEFA Cup sponsor. It appears that Bendtner was up to something as Paddy Power is Ireland’s largest telephone betting service.  So one can only assume that Bendtner was getting cash to show off his skivvies.  Let’s hope for his sake that it’s more than the $126,000. The one thing that we should all be thankful for is that Bendtner didn’t score a third goal in the game.  There’s no telling where the next logo was – maybe a Bumble Bee tuna logo o...
