TEAMS: USC Trojans, Arizona State Sun Devils, Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Less than a week ago, I mused about whether USC head coach Lane Kiffin’s job was in trouble after their debacle at Arizona last Saturday. The loss was an ugly one that knocked the Trojans out of contention for anything but the Pac-12 title and maybe an at-large BCS berth if they don’t win the conference.
I obviously wasn’t the only one speculating because USC Athletic Director Pat Haden decided it was necessary to publicly endorse Kiffin this week.
Usually, this is the kiss of death for any embattled head coach. Based on that, one would expect the speculation about Kiffin’s job security to only get louder going forward. This is especially true if USC gets blown out by Oregon Saturday or if the mistakes that cost them the Arizona game also cost the Trojans a win against a top five opponent.
But what also makes this unusual is the way Haden endorsed Kiffin. He endorsed the coach, saying he believes Kiffin is the right guy for the job and that he has a “big future” at USC. Pretty stand...

Oregon a welcome challenge for USC
LOS ANGELES ---Lane Kiffin is fighting the urge. That urge is to not bring up the anger associated with the debacle last weekend at Arizona.
"We all knew we screwed up last week and should've won the game and we're moving forward," Kiffin said.
The moving forward part is easier said than done. The after taste of that defeat is still very bitter as the Trojans...

Girls Of The Pac-12: Arizona Chicks Tailgate With Cold Rolling Rocks
Every tailgate at Arizona is it’s own little slice of heaven. Perfect weather, hot girls and cold beers make Tuscon a destination in the Fall. This past weekend was ever more special because the Wildcats were hosting the #9 USC Trojans. Despite a massive day by WR Marquise Lee (16 catches, 345 yards, 2 TDs), the Wildcats held on for a 36-33 win.
Honestly, who cares about the game...

Aaron Makes a Return Appearance on "UNITE"
As many of you may remember, a few weeks ago I appeared on the ESPNU TV show "UNITE" to break down Week 2 of the college football season.
Well apparently I did a pretty decent job, and on Wednesday, Halloween night, they asked me back to preview Oregon-USC. I was given the task of defending the Trojans, even if I didn't (and still don't) actually think they'...
