As a recreational basketball player and an NBA fan, I’ve always dreamed of testing my skills in real life against players from the highest level. A group of college students at Montclair State in New Jersey got that chance this week when Cleveland Cavaliers all-star Kyrie Irving showed up to an open gym on campus.
Irving, who grew up in New Jersey, did not take it easy on his opponents, nailing numerous 3-pointers, dropping a few highlight-reel dunks, and even backing down many of his opponents into the paint.
