Photo- Getty Images A scary, vicious and nauseating wreck ended a great Nationwide Series race Saturday afternoon at Daytona. The wreck began when Regan Smith threw a block on Brad Keselowski which caused Keselowski to get into Smith, turning Smith in front of the field. The twelve car wreck from earlier in the race along with other driver problems shortened the field before this wreck but, Tony Stewart is the only likely driver to escape the wreck without damage. The biggest concern from the wreck was Kyle Larson’s car which flew up into the catch fence just before the flag stand. Larson’s car was hit by another car and it lifted Larson’s car up into the catch fence. Larson’s whole front end was ripped off when his car hit the fence and that left the engine of Larson’s No.32 machine on the grandstand side of the catch fence. The No.32 car also had a tire fly off into the grandstands. The impact area in the grandstands from this wreck is reportedly anywhere from row one to row twenty. There are fan injuries in the grandstands but, nothing regarding the injuries has been reported. Once Mike Helton speaks to the media, we will update you with more information. At this time, the only thing to do is send prayers to the fans and family members of the injured fans. Check back here for updates throughout the coming hours.
