When former Demon Deacons coach Dino Gaudio was fired in April of 2010, it was his lack of postseason success that was cited as the main reason for his dismissal. At this point, Wake Forest fans would welcome the mere thought of a postseason.
In his three years at the helm, Jeff Bzdelik has just ten ACC victories. For reference, UVA has ten ACC wins this year and is considered on the bubble. So yeah, things haven’t really gone too well for the program since Gaudio was let go.
Fans are getting restless. So much so that they’ve taken out an ad in the Wake Forest student newspaper, Old Gold & Black. They’re urging Director of Athletics Ron Wellman to make a move – soon.

Wake Forest was the first to offer Charlotte area product Austin Proehl of Providence Senior High School. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound wide receiver is the son of Demon Deacon and NFL great, Ricky Proehl. He said the connection to the program could be a big plus when it becomes decision time.
