WAKE FOREST RUMORS & GOSSIP

Maybe it’s just me, but I think Friday’s game at Syracuse is a bigger one that most fans realize. Cuse is down, but for the first time in a few weeks, this is a game that Louisville could actually lose.
Even with poor performances against FIU and Wake Forest, Louisville still was able to win without a lot of trouble. I don’t think that can happen on Friday...
Here are the numbers that stood out in week five of ACC football.
-22-Rushing yards by Wake Forest.
5-Turnovers forced by Virginia's and Syracuse's defense.
6-Touchdown passes by Clemson's Deshaun Watson in his first career start.
11-Receptions by FSU's Rashad Greene.
35-Points scored by FSU in the second half of their win over NC State.
308-Rushing yards by Virginia...
Nick and Nick break down Louisville’s win over Wake Forest and Kentucky’s win over Vanderbilt. Seriously, if Wake Forest and Vanderbilt played each other, would they ever score a point?
With the first two home games being in the evening, Louisville Cardinals fans got their first taste of sunshine and pigskin on Saturday afternoon as Louisville outlasted Wake Forest.
Cardinal Connect staff photographers JD Coffey and Petey Cautilli were both on hand and got some great shots of the action. Enjoy!
Despite his team not having a great performance on Saturday, Louisville head coach Bobby Petrino didn’t seem too upset. More than anything, he was just happy to get a conference win. Here is Petrion’s full post game press conference.

Bobby Petrino and the Louisville Cardinals will play their first ever Atlantic Division ACC game on Saturday as they host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Here are four keys to the game. With Wake Forest being as bad as they are, the keys aren’t necessarily just for getting a win, but for moving forward.

Bobby Petrino participated on the weekly ACC coaches teleconference on Wednesday morning. The majority of the questions Petrino was asked were regarding the quarterback situation and what to expect from Wake Forest.
We’re excited to be back home after two games. We’ll take on a Wake Forest team that we have a lot of respect...
Bowman Archibald knew what he was getting into when he signed a financial aid agreement with Miami in early August.
Archibald, a four-star tight end who is ranked No. 189 in the ESPN 300, knew that despite signing with the Hurricanes, he was not obligated to end up in Coral Gables. And now he won't end up there.
This past weekend Archibald switched his commitment from the Canes...
If three-star high school defensive end Kengera Daniel ever wondered what Kim Kardashian would look like on his arm, Wake Forest has provided him with a visual. In an attempt to be creative with their recruiting pitch, Wake Forest recently sent Daniel — the 15th-ranked player at his position — a photoshopped image that features […]
Sometimes less is more, Wake Forest.
The Demon Deacons went all out in their latest recruiting attempt, putting their creative skills to the test in an effort to convince Class of 2015 defensive end Kengera Daniel to choose them. Daniel is being heavily recruited by schools such as Alabama and Michigan, so Wake Forest knew it had no choice but to pull out all the stops to get...
I’m guessing that Wake Forest figured if Tennessee could use Beyonce to recruit, then they could use Kim Kardashian to help their recruiting cause. It can’t hurt. The Demon Deacons only won four games last year. Expect a rant from Kanye West coming soon about the use of his wife’s image or maybe another rap verse about he’s beating out NFL players. Either way, it’s always...
The Wake Forest football program has struggled in recent seasons.
The Demon Deacons won six games in 2011, five in 2012, four in 2013, and are off to a 1-2 start this season. How do you get better as a college football program? You get better recruits. How do you get better recruits? You send them photoshopped magazine covers featuring the high schooler and a good-looking woman...
The 2014 college football season is just getting started, and we have a lot of games in front of us. Let’s not turn uncomplicated game summaries into term papers, okay?
Here, via Patrick Southern, is your one-tweet summary of Wake Forest’s 17-10 loss to Louisiana-Monroe, keeping in mind that the Demon Deacons scored their touchdown on a return of a blocked punt:
