PLAYERS: Warren Sapp
Before you press play be sure and either put some headphones on or make sure that tattletale from HR is nowhere near. NFL Network analysts Warren Sapp is off camera, but forgets that if he leaves his mic on whatever he says gets picked up on the air (doh!). It's kind of hard to hear the first time you listen to it since he is trying to be quiet, and the on-air talent is talking as well. It sounds like one of those classic rock records that when you play it backwards speaks has a secret message. This is exactly why sports networks need to hire more actual journalists rather than try to load up on former players that people will recognize. I get why they do it (name recognition=more viewers), but too many of these guys do not know what to do. That's why they make broad proclamations and try to be dramatic as if the more intense they say something the more believable it must be (right Merrill Hodge? You're not the only one Merrill; just about all the former ath...

Rich Eisen Pokes Fun At Warren Sapp’s On-Air Slip-Up

On Tuesday, NFL Network microphones picked up an accidental “on-air” rant unleashed by studio co-host Warren Sapp, who was clearly sick of discussing the New England Patriots. Unfortunately for Sapp, Wednesday’s biggest headline involved the Patriots — in this case, a now former Patriot, Wes Welker — which allowed host Rich Eisen to have a little fun at Sapp’s expense...

Warren Sapp forgets his mic is on, curses on air (Video)

WARNING: Video contains curse wrods. Warren Sapp got into a lot of trouble last year when he accused former NFL tight end Jeremy Shockey of being the whistle blower from the Saints bounty scandal. Once again Sapp finds himself in hot water after forgetting to turn his mic off while on the NFL Network tonight. Warren Sapp with his mic on, unbeknownst to most on NFL Network apparently...

Warren Sapp’s NFL Network Hot Mic Slip Up

Warren Sapp added some color to the free agency opening day festivities on NFL Network by letting loose the F-bomb multiple times during the broadcast. Sapp didn’t realize his mic was hot while an aside piece between Scott Hanson and Scott Pioli was going on. It seems the QBKilla had some choice things to say about the Patriots and Bill Belichick’s draft philosophy…or maybe...

Video: Warren Sapp does some cursing on TV

Apparently Warren Sapp was mad that they were re-doing a segment or something. I've heard plenty of stories on the Rich Eisen podcast about some nasty things Sapp will say when the cameras go off. Seems like he forgot to turn his MIC off this time. Via SB Nation

Rich Eisen Makes Fun of Warren Sapp’s Live F-Bombs (Video)

Yesterday, Warren Sapp made some news after he was caught on a live mic cursing out the fact that his show was spending so much time on the Patriots. Today, Sapp was on NFL Network’s Free Agent Frenzy a couple of minutes after it was announced that Wes Welker has signed with the Denver Broncos. Eisen started the segment, which featured Scott Pioli (one of the victims of Sapp...

Warren Sapp didn’t know mic was on, drops F-Bombs live on NFL Network

While covering the first day of free agency, NFL Network brought on former Chiefs GM Scott Pioli to do a live interview on Total Access.  During the interview, Warren Sapp was off-camera and didn’t realize his mic was on.  They started to discuss the New England Patriots draft strategy and Sapp can be heard muttering, “oh s*** no no no, it’s the same f****** speech we had...

Warren Sapp dropping F-bombs on an NFL Network broadcast

Warren Sapp is apparently tired of hearing about Bill Belichik and the New England Patriots, so much so that he drops some f-bombs on a live mic.

Warren Sapp F-Bombing Belichick Via Open Mic On NFL Network

Guess Warren Sapp is tired of listening to NFL blowhards talk about Bill Belichick. Listen closely to what Sapp had to say on a hot mic as some blowhard talks to Scott Hanson about the Patriots draft philosophy. You hear Warren f-bombing the Belichick angle. Warren is then reminded that the NFL Network could play the Seahawks angle and lose viewers, which would lead to less advertising...

Warren Sapp forgets his mic is on drops an “F bombs”

Here’s a lesson for all you emerging media professionals. Before you start dropping F Bombs and adding side commentary, make sure your mic is off. Today’s example, Warren Sapp. While NFL network’s Scott Hanson was interviewing former Patriots exec Scott Pioli, Sapp can be heard in the background cursing the Bill Belichick angle being used for the interview.   “no no...

Video: Warren Sapp drops an F-Bomb on live television

During a Tuesday segment in which former general manager Scott Pioli discussed how Bill Belichick liked to utilize his draft picks, NFL Network analyst Warren Sapp was overheard whispering a few F-words about the segment. Apparently, Sapp was complaining because the station previously did a similar segment but with Michael Lombardi. Instead, today, Pioli, a former general manager...

Warren Sapp Drops F-Bombs About Bill Belichick on NFL Network, Doesn’t Realize Microphone Is On

Plenty of people are sick of hearing about Bill Belichick and his wondrous Patriots. But Warren Sapp is now the only TV analyst who’s been caught cursing out the amount of coverage Belichick gets on the NFL Network. Sapp said what many Belichick-loathing fans have been thinking on Tuesday. Sapp, working as an analyst on the NFL Network, was off-screen and — he thought — off...

NFL Network apologizes to Bill Belichick on air

Last night Warren Sapp caused an uproar when he left his mic on by accident. There was a segment with Scott Pioli talking about the way the Patriots handle the off-season and Sapp could be heard swearing about how they were re-hashing "the f#%king Belichick f#4king angle" (VIDEO HERE) I doubt that Bill Belichick even knew what went down last night. That didn't stop...

Philadelphia Eagles Biggest Draft Day Regret In Franchise History

The worst draft pick in Eagles franchise history is unfortunately littered with a number of respectable candidates. For my tastes however, I would choose defensive end Mike Mamula, as many of the other woeful candidates were before my time. That does not mean that Mike Mamula is not a worthy candidate however.Mike Mamula's name happens to be synonymous with the "workout...

Felger: ESPN “Doesn’t Throw Enough Crap”

So if you wondered what the state of, and future of sports talk was, Glenn Ordway and Michael Felger discussed it last night on CSNNE. Ordway thinks internet radio is the next big thing (“They’re putting in cars!”) while Felger dismissed the power of ESPN, arguing that local sports radio hosts (like himself) have much more influence. I’d agree for a certain that Felger has...
