The weigh-ins for Global Warrior Challenge’s “British Invasion: U.S. VS. U.K.” took place today in Kansas City with all 22 fighters successfully making weight. Headlining the action is a heavyweight clash featuring pro wrestler/mixed martial artist Bobby Lashley who takes on Matthew Larson. Lashley is fresh off a second round submission win over Kevin Asplund at TFC 25 on June 7. When discussing his bout with Larson, Lashley stated “I think it’s going to be a really exciting fight, but I hope to end it very quickly”. GWC British Invasion takes place from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri on Saturday, June 29. The card also features former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez, Ultimate Fighter 3 winner Kendall “Da Spyda” Grove, Drew Fickett and Andre Winner. The event will be shown live on Pay Per View (PPV) beginning at 9:00pm ET.
