As we take in the lincredible weekend of NBA action, let’s take a look at what we have learned, and glance at the crystal ball before us. The best player in the NBA is Kevin Durant. The notion that he is too skinny, too flimsy, too shellfish, doesn’t play defense, may have been an argument against Durant in the past, but not now. The Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Denver Nuggets yesterday, in OT, when the nuggets played their best basketball since Melo’s absence. They had career efforts from Serge Ibaka (the only block included triple double in franchise history), and Russell Westbrook (40 points, career high), but it was Durant who scored 51 that led the way ( also a career high). He hit a three-point shot when they were down five with under a minute to play. He tied the game with 4.4 seconds left in regulation with a two-handed dunk. Inside the Crystal Ball….
