Serena Williams will be playing for two Wimbledon titles this weekend after she and sister Venus rallied from a set down Friday to reach the doubles final. The Williams sisters struggled with their serves in the first set but recovered to beat American duo Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond 2-6, 6-1, 6-2. They won seven straight games to take the second set and grab a 3-0 lead in the third. They broke Raymond's serve again in the final game, with Venus hitting a volley winner on their first match point. Serena will play Agnieszka Radwanska in the singles final as she looks for her fifth Wimbledon title. The Williams sisters will be going for their fifth title in doubles as well. Flavia Pennetta and Francesca Schiavone of Italy were playing Czech duo Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka in the other semifinal.

Back at top, Serena Williams wins 5th Wimbledon

For Serena Williams, the low point came in early 2011, when she spent hours laying around her home, overwhelmed by a depressing series of health scares that sent her to the hospital repeatedly and kept her away from tennis for 10 months. The high point came Saturday on Centre Court at Wimbledon, when Williams dropped down to the grass, hands covering her face. She was all the way...

Serena Williams Advances To Wimbledon Finals, Can Beat You Up

Serena Williams and Agnieszka Radwanska (uh, what?) will face off in the finals of Wimbeldon. It’s been a hell of a fortnight if I do say so myself. Is there a more intimidating woman in sports right now? I guess Brittney Griner, but that’s purely based on height and that sucker punch she threw a couple years back. If you lock Griner in the octagon with Serena it wouldn’t...

The Williams sisters routed Raquel Kops-Jones and Abigail Spears 6-1, 6-1 in less than hour Thursday. Serena finds comfort in fifth title

This was not just more of the same for Serena Williams, another Wimbledon, another championship. No, what's lost is that this was a great comeback story for her. Two years ago, she won Wimbledon and seemed unbeatable. Since then, she had been beaten down. A foot injury followed by life-threatening blood clots in her lungs. Then, lost confidence followed by lost composure. Her...

Wimbledon Ladies Final Preview: Agnieszka Radwanska vs Serena Williams

Radwanska’s Keys to Victory: 1. Don’t let Serena set up- Here is the problem for Radwanska. She is a good all-court player who plays consistently and doesn’t make mistakes. She works her opponents around the court and makes them play shots they don’t want to play. And that’s great for her. It just got her to a Wimbledon final. But it is a style of play that Serena just...

WIMBLEDON: How Does a Champion Know When it’s Time to Say When? Andy Roddick, Venus Williams Face the Big Question

If you’ve never seen Venus and Serena Williams play doubles together, it is a beautiful thing. There is something about the body language, the togetherness, the love. But on Wednesday at Wimbledon, it was painful. They had two long matches in one day, when Serena would have been better off resting, as her singles semifinal would be coming the next day.
