Since it's Christmas, let's be glad Even if your life's been bad There are presents to be had They won. In the span of three minutes in the third quarter, the Colts emerged from their long winter's nap. Dan Orlovsky finished off a touchdown drive with his only good throw of the day, but what a throw it was. He dropped the ball into the outstretched hands of Reggie Wayne who was double covered in the endzone. The fans went crazy, and notably so the did the players. There was a mini-mob scene around Wayne in the end zone and on the bench afterwards. The Colts wanted, needed this win. When Jacob Lacey ripped a pass away from Chris Johnson and forearm shivered his way to the endzone, everyone in the building could feel it...the Colts were going to win.

Orlovsky redeemed

After Sunday's win Dan Orlovsky had exercised some demons: Three minutes later, Orlovsky deployed the offense in the "victory formation," took a final knee, and ran off the field with the football. It was his 10th start and 19th appearance in seven NFL seasons. It was his first victory. He wasn't giving away the game ball. Orlovsky played for the 2008 Detroit...

Dan Orlovsky Has Been Living with Donald Brown Rent-Free

When Donald Brown broke an 80-yard touchdown run against the Titans on Sunday, it marked one of the lone bright spots in a season that has been one of the most depressing in Indianapolis Colts history. The Colts finally picked up their first win of the year on their 14th try, one that also happened to the first of Dan Orlovsky’s career as an NFL starter. Orlovsky even threw a block...

Wayne's streak in jeopardy

Reggie Wayne was set to join NFL receiving royalty with another 1,000 yard season.  That all changed with Manning's injury: The string of 1,000-yard seasons, though, is in serious jeopardy. The absence of Peyton Manning and resulting revolving door and inconsistency at quarterback too often has rendered the passing game impotent. Overall, the Colts have run the fewest offensive...

Dan Orlovsky avoids infamy, makes up for free rent

We’re not supposed to root, but it was hard not to root for Dan Orlovsky on Sunday. No one deserves to go down in history as the quarterback of the only two NFL teams that went 0-16. Orlovsky didn’t do a lot of passing in the Colts’ win, but he did make a big block…

Colts can't go 0-16; they trip Titans, 27-13

Dan Orlovsky threw one touchdown pass and the key block on an 80-yard TD run, leading the Colts to their first win of the season, 27-13 over Tennessee on Sunday.

Dan Orlovsky Repays Donald Brown For Letting Him Stay Rent Free By Throwing Block On TD Run

The Indianapolis Colts defeated the Tennessee Titans 27-13 for their first win of the season this past Sunday. It was also the first victory for Colts quarterback Dan Orlovsky as a starter in the NFL. Late in the 4th quarter 2009 1st round draft choice Donald Brown, with some assistance from his [...]

Hayes: Who feels the relief?

Reggie Hayes ponders whose shoulders are feeling the most relief this morning: Is it Jim Caldwell, the coach who avoids an 0-for-season with the Colts' 27-13 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium? Is it Dan Orlovsky, the quarterback who escapes the extreme indignity of leading two winless teams? Is it Jacob Lacey, the cornerback burned countless times...

Colts move closer to their first win

The Indianapolis Colts led the Chiefs by 17 points on October 9, and the Colts ultimately blew it. The Colts now lead the Titans by 11, midway through the third quarter in Indianapolis. Trailing 6-3 at halftime, the Colts have exploded for 14 points, via an 18-yard touchdown pass from Dan Orlovsky to Reggie Wayne…

Orlovsky pays the rent to Brown

Finally, the boarder chipped in. Living free and clear with running back Donald Brown since signing with the Indianapolis Colts as a free agent in late September, quarterback Dan Orlovsky provided a bit of payback Sunday afternoon at Lucas Oil Stadium.

FO Audibles week 15

The guys don't give the Colts that much credit: I expected the Titans to win, but gave the Colts a chance if the Titans had trouble moving the ball offensively. It was apparent in the first quarter that Johnson would not have a good game and that the Titans' wideouts would struggle immensely to win in coverage. The Titans gave them good field position with a mediocre punt...

Colts Claim First Win vs. Titans

The Colts finally claimed their first win of the season with a 27-13 victory over the Titans at Lucas Oil Stadium. Indy is now 1-13 while Tennessee continues to stumble at 7-7. Fantasy Spin: Quarterback Dan Orlovsky completed 11 of 17 passes for 82 yards, with one touchdown against no interceptions. Donald Brown was the key engineer in the win as he pounded out 161 rushing yards...

A Cold Day in Hell: Colts Win, Packers Lose, Tebow Fails

Yeah you heard right, hell just froze over! The rapture’s coming people! It’s the end of the world! Seriously, how else could you explain today’s events? The Indianapolis Colts finally won their first game of the season beating the Tennessee Titans. Tim Tebow wasn’t able to deliver his usual fourth-quarter magic as the Denver Broncos suffered their first loss in seven games...

Colts finally get first win, stun Titans (AP)

The Indianapolis Colts finally won without Peyton Manning. It just took 14 games and three quarterbacks to get there. Dan Orlovsky threw one touchdown pass, a key block on an 80-yard TD run and the Colts defense held Chris Johnson to 55 yards rushing, to beat Tennessee 27-13 and avoid becoming the second 0-16 team in league history.

Kuharsky: Colts D to the rescue

Paul Kuharsky liked what he saw from the defense on Sunday: What I liked -- Colts: Big plays on defense. Maligned cornerback Jacob Lacey took a pass away from Chris Johnson and returned it 32 yards for a score. Pat Angerer killed the Titans when they looked to be getting things going in the fourth quarter, stripping Jared Cook for a fumble which was recovered by Chris Rucker...
