The 2012-13 hockey season at Wisconsin is all about celebrating the past, as it's the 50th anniversary of the modern era of Wisconsin hockey - but when the Badgers take the ice against Minnesota on February 17th at Soldier Field it'll be the 1930's taking center stage.
On Monday the athletic department and head coach Mike Eaves unveiled the jersey which is a reproduction of the one Wisconsin wore for the 1931-32 season. It has not been released for sale as of yet though.
Here is John Ramage modeling it for your viewing pleasure:
I don't know about you, but I really like this one. It sure beats what they put out last year as the "throwback" or alternate jersey they wore. Count me as someone willing to buy this one. Now, it will be interesting to see if Minnesota is going to go the same route or not? They haven't officially announced anything as of yet, but you'd think they would do something special for the game as well.
