The Kansas City Chiefs will be undergoing a regime-change with new head coach Andy Reid at the helm. The team owned the number one overall pick in last April’s draft and took offensive tackle Eric Fisher despite the majority speculation leaning towards OT Luke Joeckel as the pick. Joeckel was regarded as the best player in the draft, while as an offensive tackle he protected the blind spot for Heisman Trophy-winner Johnny Manziel during Texas A&M’s inaugural season in the SEC conference. Joeckel displayed it all but despite that, Fisher intrigued the Chiefs for because of his upside when he played nasty at Central Michigan. The Chiefs also acquired former number one overall pick quarterback Alex Smith from the 49ers. Smith’s career floundered around for a while until 2011 when 49ers head man Jim Harbaugh molded an offense around the limited signal-caller, allowing Smith to become more of an efficient passer while protecting the football. Fantasy Football Rookie Report: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce

If you are a Chiefs fan, football season has been rough of late. The Matt Cassel experiment is finally over and despite an abundance of talent, the Chiefs have wallowed in a swamp of abject failure that would make Norv Turner flinch uncontrolably. But now it's different.I like the Chiefs this year. Jamaal Charles, Dwayne Bowe (when his head is right), and the newly-minted (conservative...

13 Days to Camp: Smith’s Chip

When the Kansas City Chiefs acquired quarterback, Alex Smith, he came to our fair town with a chip the size of the Rock of Gibraltar. So can he turn that chip into a championship Avalanche?
