Agent Dagger:
It's only the sixth game of the season and it looks like Flip Saunders may be running out of ideas.
The Wizards head coach addressed the criticisms of the past games. Critics said Caron Butler had to get more aggressive offensively, and the former all-star put up 24-12. The Wizards bigmen got into foul trouble early in the teams last two losses, but tonight Haywood played 35 minutes and grabbed 19 rebounds.
Even Nick Young who had received almost no playing time early in the season got the start Friday night.
Yet the shake ups were for naught. Again the Wizards found themselves down early in the game with a flat attitude and no sense of urgency. Coming out of the half down 53-41 Flip looked like he'd try just about anything as he threw out a line up of Gilbert Arenas, Randy Foye, Mike James, Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood.
Still nothing worked. The game went from bad to out of hand and Washington lost 102-86, causing the club to fall to 2-4 on the season.
