Diana Taurasi became an Internet sensation when the Phoenix star gave Seimone Augustus of Minnesota a peck on the cheek after the pair were called for double personal fouls in Minnesota's 85-62 rout of the Mercury on Thursday night in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals. Video of the moment has garnered more than 1.6 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours. As the pair started to square off, Taurasi planted the kiss on Augustus' cheek. Both players joked with reporters afterward about the incident. The two stars have known each other since they first played AAU basketball in their early teens. They have been ...

With season over, where do Mercury go from here?

PHOENIX -- Now that the unexpectedly reopened Mercury funhouse has closed for another season, we can step away and consider where its characters may go from here. Well, Diana Taurasi will be flying to Europe for the winter, and rookie center Brittney Griner has a presumably big-paying gig in China. Like almost all of the WNBA, the Mercury players will be working in professional...

What better time to do so than Thursday night in front...

Lynx will face Dream in finals for another shot at crown

Weather the downturns, convert in key moments. It's how the Lynx built the WNBA's best record a third year in a row. It's how they won more road games than any other team. It's how they breezed past a stretch of four losses in five outings and overcame injuries to three different starters throughout the year. It's how they swept Seattle in the first round of...
