Random thoughts/ramblings/game notes on tonight’s Phillies game -Wow. I’m not sure even the most optimistic of Phillies fans expected that. It was the former Indians pitcher on Philadelphia that completely shut down the opposition. It was the New York bullpen that melted down in the late innings and put the game out of reach. It’s funny, really, in baseball how fast the expected script can change. -A storyline you won’t read anywhere in New York tomorrow: how well CC Sabathia pitched for the Yankees. Seven innings, two runs, four hits, three walks and six strikeouts will get it done most nights, especially with that line-up behind him.
