I knew; the New York Yankees knew; and maybe you did too so why were so many fans shocked by this news?

Anyone with access to a computer, along with a slight inquisitiveness could easily obtain the necessary proof that this would happen more than just once.
That any team signing Kevin Youkilis should expect multiple stints on the DL (disabled list) over the course of a season.
Youkilis has not suffered from one recurring injury, but many ones, as he has not stayed healthy for an entire season since 2004.
Wait it gets worse, since 2006 Youkilis has been sidelined each regular season at least five different times.
His injuries range from ankle, knee, back, hip, thumb, shoulder, groin, abdomen, knee, thigh, hand, neck, foot and there are more. (more…)

The New York Yankees made a minor move, acquiring infielder Chris Nelson from the Colorado Rockies who had recently been designated for assignment. Once the Yankees roster is healthy, Nelson can become more of a utility player if they...
