Forget how excited those kids look, think about Yasiel Puig and how he just showed up at their organized practice, TOOK ALL THE ATTENTION AWAY FROM COACHES, and hogged it all for himself. By signing autographs and pitching to the kids, he was distracting from valuable lessons and instruction they could be gaining without his presence. Worse, the kid says he showed up unannounced, which is very typical of Puig who has no respect for the game. At the end, the player says it’s a moment he’ll never forget. Puig has scarred this child for life with his undisciplined antics. Trade him. —– H/T TMZ Sports

Yasiel Puig surprises Little Leaguers at practice

Not many people can say they've hit a ball off Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig. So when the Northeast Los Angeles Little League team took the field for practice at Elysian Park on Tuesday, you could imagine their surprise when Puig strolled up to get in on the action. Puig, who was on his way home from Dodger Stadium, dropped by practice and spent half an hour signing bats...

Dodgers would be wise to keep Joc Pederson for the foreseeable future

To say Joc Pederson is tearing up the Venezuelan Winter League would be an understatement. While his .286 batting average is solid, his on-base percentage and slugging percentage are what's most impressive thus far. Through 12 games, Pederson has a .545 (!) on-base percentage and .686 slugging percentage. That comes from a ridiculous 20:11 walk-to-strikeout ratio...

Dodgers trade Alex Castellanos to Red Sox for Jeremy Hazelbaker because … I don’t know

The Dodgers traded outfielder Alex Castellanos to the Red Sox for outfielder Jeremy Hazelbaker and cash. Castellanos was designated recently to clear room for Mike Baxter from the Mets. Matt Kemp Appreciation Week Day 4: A Completed Father's Day Rainbow /5

I recently completed a Matt Kemp rainbow that took surprisingly little time and far less cash than I had anticipated it would. A while back I posted three Matt Kemp Panini Printing Progressions cards I had landed. I was in need of just the black parallel, which was limited to five copies. I wasn't sure when or if I would come across one. Thankfully, it didn't take long.The...

Why Are The Mets Ignoring The Cuban Market?

Chris asks…. Why are the Mets ignoring Cuban prospects? They showed no interest in Jose Abreu, Yoenis Cespedes or Yasiel Puig. They also passed on Jose Fernandez who was selected immediately after the Mets drafted Brandon Nimmo, and made no attempt to sign Aroldis Chapman.
