Pro Boxing Fans:
The official weigh-ins were held this afternoon for Saturday's Chad Dawson vs. Adonis Stevenson light heavyweight title fight, televised on HBO. Things got heated between Dawson and Stevenson during the proceedings. Right here, you can take a look at the complete Dawson vs. Stevenson weigh-in results, along with photos of the event, and the official weights for the co-feature, Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Darley Perez. Take a look.
Dawson vs. Stevenson Weights
Chad Dawson: 173.4 lbs
Adonis Stevenson: 174.2 lbs
Dawson has been worked up as of late about being disrespected, and feels that he's a clear level above Stevenson. Stevenson though is brash and has plenty of KO power, and although he isn't experienced at the top of the game like Dawson is, he does have the home crowd to his advantage, and is clearly trying to stay under his skin.
Gamboa vs. Perez Weights:
Yuriorkis Gamboa: 134.2 lbs
Darley Perez: 134.6 lbs
Perez is a relative unknown compared to Gamboa, but for ...

The Chad Dawson you saw the last time out is gone. That version of Dawson was at 168 pounds, a lower weight class, and lost to pound-for-pound star Andre Ward. Now, he is back up at light heavyweight and ready to face Adonis Stevenson, a big-punching Canadian on Saturday at Bell Centre in Montreal (HBO, 10 p.m. ET).
"I feel great being back at my weight," Dawson said....
Adonis Stevenson stopped Chad Dawson with a left hook in the first round to take the WBC light heavyweight title Saturday night.
Stevenson (21-1), from nearby Longueuil, sent a crushing left to Dawson's temple less than 2 minutes into the scheduled 12-round bout. Dawson (31-3-0) got up, but referee Richard Griffin stopped the fight.
Stevenson became the only Canadian to currently...
It's no secret that Adonis "Superman" Stevenson has great knockout power. Still, the vast majority of boxing fans have been assuming "Bad" Chad Dawson would outclass the vastly more inexperienced fighter. (Note: Our now Scott Levinson picked Stevenson to win).
However, in Montreal on Saturday evening, Stevenson wasn't to be denied. It took him just about...
What to do with Chad Dawson? The light heavyweight champion is among the most athletic boxers in the world, a troublesome southpaw who isn't afraid to fight anyone and also happens to be adroit when it comes to the finer technical points of the sport. He also is a flake who sheds trainers like a chicken molting twice a year, can't make up his mind whether HBO screwed...
Whoa. That happened. Adonis Stevenson scored a massive upset on HBO Saturday night, and did it in a jaw-dropping fashion, when he stopped light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson with one shotgun left hand in the very 1st round.
There were some who thought Stevenson had a chance. There were more who thought Dawson, one of the best talents of the past five years or so, would have...
We won’t be seeing Chad Dawson on HBO or probably any network anytime soon. Andre Ward made him quit and then Adonis Stevenson took his soul.
Bad Chad is now Sad Chad.
Andre Ward previews the upcoming light heavyweight championship fight between Chad Dawson vs. Adonis Stevenson. It all happens Sat., June 8 at 10pm ET/PT on HBO.

Underachievement is an emotive word in boxing, perhaps more so than in any other sport. After all, how exactly do you tell a guy he hasn’t tried hard enough when he’s just spent 48...
