WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. discusses his preparation for Saturday night's fight with Andy Lee on HBO World Championship Boxing, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Q: How does it feel to be back in Texas? What can you say about the fans here? Juilo Cesar Chavez Jr.: I am very happy to return to Texas and especially to El Paso. The people have always supported me and I can feel how much they care for me. I want to give them a great fight, one that they will remember for a long time. Q: How was training camp? Any issues with you making weight? JC: I had an excellent training camp. It started in Mexico and we finished in Las Vegas. It was one of the best camps I've had. We had some great sparring and the weight is coming off very well for this fight. There will always be some issues in any training camp but I feel that this was one of the best of my career. Q: Are you where you want to be in this stage of your career? JC: I believe that at this stage of my career I am putting it all together. I now have the experience to deal with everything that might happen in the ring, and I think my last few fights have helped me to become a better fighter. What I need now is to follow (trainer Freddie Roach's) plan and make this fight one of my best. Q: What are your thoughts about your opponent? JC: Andy Lee is a young, hungry fighter who wants what I have -- a world title -- so sure I am concerned. I have to be. Since last week, I have been training with Freddie Roach, who is teaching me all about how to fight a left-hander. Boxing is my life -- it means everything to me. I am not sure Andy Lee feels the same way.
