This Saturday at Pacplex in Brooklyn, Heavyweight contender Derric Rossy returns to the ring when he takes on Jonte Willis in the eight round main event of a card promoted by Sal Musumeci’s Final Forum Boxing. Rossy (28-7, 14 KO’s) of Medford, NY knows that he needs a win over Willis to stay relevant in the Heavyweight division. He found a familiar person to help guide him on this journey. “I took some time off and I am training with my father,”said Rossy. “We have been working on the little things” In Willis (9-7-1, 3 KO’s), Rossy knows it will not be easy but he knows what he has to do. “He is a durable fighter and I am not taking him lightly. I am looking to put on a solid display.” It was just over two years ago where elimination bouts with Eddie Chambers and Maurice Harris had Rossy on the doorstep of a world title shot.
