Negotiations are about to begin for arguably the most anticipated match-up in women's professional boxing history between 14-time, three-division world champion Holly "The Preacher's Daughter" Holm (32-2-3, 9 KOs) and undefeated Cecilia "First Lady" Braekhus (21-0, 5 KOs), considered by most to be the top two female pound-for-pound boxers in the world, for July in Las Vegas. • If it ever happens, it will resemble a track meet more than a fight. Neither Holly or Ceceilia carry much of a punch so it will be a pitty-pat run around the ring for ten and a decision for whomever landed the most ineffective punches. We all saw how Holly outsmarted Mathis by running around an oversized ring and grabbing and holding round after round so that Mathis could'nt hit her, and Cecelia was quick to pick up on that lesson so that when she fought Mathis she ran like a babbit, knowing that if Mathis didn't knock her out she was guarnteed the home town decision. Should be interesting to see who outfoxes the other.
