As debates continue about Manny Pacquiao’s recent decision to take his talents to Asia, the boxing champion is hitting up a new arena: real estate. Pacquiao is looking to sell his Los Angeles mansion for $2.7 million. When he bought it, in early 2009, it was the perfect reward for knocking out Ricky Hatton to defend his light welterweight championship. The Mediterranean-style home blends in perfectly with the warm southern Californian weather and easygoing lifestyle. The house is still decked out, though, which makes sense considering Pacquiao is the second-highest-paid athlete in the world. Haisa marble and Brazilian teak wood floors are used throughout the home. The foyer has a 22-foot entry, and world-class appliances line the gourmet kitchen. The master suite overlooks a pool, with a spa and waterfall feature to boot. Pacquiao could make a profit of $630,000 after buying the mansion for $2.17 million. The professional boxer resides in his native Philippines. Outside the ring, Pacman dabbles in politics and serves as a congressman for his wife’s hometown district. Aside from his political endeavors, he has also endorsed fellow Filipino politicians and even American politicians such as California Gov. Jerry Brown.
