In a report by the Philippine Daily Inquirer, Manny Pacquiao is doing work at training camp. A former foe that he has beat twice in the past was truly impressed. This particular foe was Marco “Antonio” Barrera. Pacquiao has continued training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood after commencing his training back in the Philippines. Apparently, Barrera witnessed Pacquiao going through three sparring partners, two Russians and one Mexican, for a total of 24 grueling rounds. Barrera would be interviewed by GMA, a Filipino network in the Philippines, and said that Pacquiao looks stronger.
The Filipino boxer’s own trainer, Freddie Roach, said that this was Manny Pacquiao’s “best day so far” since flying into Los Angeles to train. This is good news because there were doubts that Pacquiao was not preparing thoroughly for a fight that could make or break his career in boxing as a top pound-for-pound fighter. With the fight against Juan Manuel Marquez next month on December 8th, we can expect a real brawl as both fighters want to knock each other out.
