Floyd Mayweather Jr. is known for having some of the most polarizing figures in the entertainment business accompany him to the ring before fights. Whether you love her or despise her, there is really no arguing that Miley Cyrus has perfected the art of creating a buzz. That’s why she makes perfect sense for The Money Team.

During a recent interview with Billboard, Mayweather spoke about some of his favorite musicians and how he chooses the artists who walk him out to the ring.

“When you’re the best, you only want to surround yourself with the best,” Mayweather explained. “(Bieber is) an exceptional artist. He’s the future.”

Apparently Floyd feels that Miley shares some of those characteristics with Bieber.

“I was thinking about letting the twerk queen, Miley Cyrus, bring me out,” he said enthusiastically. “Why not? We’ve gotta call her the twerk queen. Yes, we have to call her that.”

Unfortunately, he’s probably not joking. Mayweather is an expert at maximizing ratings and revenue for everything he does, hence why his Money Mayweather brand is unprecedented across sports. He'd look ridiculous having this nut job by his side as he prepares to defend his title, but that never stopped him before. Bieber looked completely out of place posing with Mayweather after Floyd beat Miguel Cotto, but he was invited back for the Canelo Alvarez fight. Don’t be surprised to see Miley next time.

  • Miley...seriously GIRL; have you NOT embarrased yourself enough? For once, can't you think of your family first???? They are involved by proxy. IE; I'm sure they were great parents, soooo, WHAT HAPPENED?
  • Miley has good handlers and I'm doubtful she will merge her brand to the brand of a convicted person.

Cyndi Lauper was a person with 10 times the talent and she linked herself to Capt. Lou Albano in pro wrestling.....her career nosedived. The good news is her talent ruled and MANY years later she showed the world she had immense talent

Miley has no talent...this could be a career killer

Boston radio hosts accuse Pedro Martinez of steroid use

It is hardly surprising in this day and age of sports shock talk that hosts attempting to bring attention to themselves would attack the most revered Red Sox player of the last 30 years. Yesterday and this morning, both 98.5 FM (Felger and Mazz) and WEEI (Kirk Minihane) made, at the very least, strong suggestions that former Red Sox ace Pedro Martinez used steroids during his playing...

Report: Santonio Holmes signs with Bears

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Chicago Bears have agreed to terms with veteran WR Santonio Holmes. Chicago unfortunately lost Marquess Wilson to a fractured clavicle a little over a week ago, so they could use some help for at least the remainder of the preseason. Last year, Holmes caught 23 passes for 456 yards receiving and a touchdown over the course of 11 games. The post...

Tom Cable: Browns violated 'unwritten rule'

Tom Cable isn’t happy, though it’s worth nothing he hasn’t punched anyone yet. Why is Tom Cable unhappy? Because the Cleveland Browns violated an “unwritten rule” in the NFL. Earlier this month, the Seahawks waived right tackle Michael Bowie with an injury distinction. Basically, the Seahawks wanted to put Bowie on IR, but he had to clear waivers first. Bowie didn’t...
