FC Barcelona moved with one point of the lead, Osasuna defeated Espanyol, and Sociedad were held by Betis in the Spanish Primera Division (La Liga) on April 10, 2012.

Osasuna 2-0 Espanyol

Two second half goals from Raul Garcia led Osasuna to the victory. Espanyol’s Philippe Coutinho (55th minute) and Juan Forlin (81st minute) were both given red cards.

Real Sociedad 1-1 Real Betis

A first half penalty kick miss proved to be crucial was Real Sociedad couldn’t hold onto a 1-0 lead. Imanol Agirretxe missed a 40th minute penalty but a Carlos Vela goal gave Sociedad the lead. Real Betis responded with a 70th minute Ruben Castro goal to share the points.

Barcelona 4-0 Getafe

A one sided match as Barcelona move within one point of leaders Real Madrid. Alexis Sanchez had two goals (12th minute and 73rd minute), Messi added one (43rd minute), and Pedro scored the other (75th minute). Getafe had very few chances in the match and failed to get a shot on goal.

Osasuna bounces back versus Espanyol

Two second half goals from Raul Garcia allowed Osasuna to recover from a nightmare week to beat nine-man Espanyol 2-0 . Osasuna had conceded 11 goals to Rayo Vallecano and Real Madrid in their previous two games, but had luck on their side throughout as Kalu Uche somehow blazed over from only five yards out early on. Garcia then put the hosts in front eight minutes after the break...
