London Olympic 2012 Captain Tom Stalker will face fellow unbeaten fighter Chris Jenkins in a British Light Welterweight Title eliminator on Queensberry Promotions’ ‘Magnificent Seven Fight Again’ bill at the Liverpool Echo Arena on October 25th. Frank Warren won the purse bids this month for the contest and Liverpool favourite Stalker will be looking to put himself in line for a dream shot at the Lonsdale belt in early 2015. Stalker said: “It’s always been a dream of mine to fight for the British title and I know by beating Jenkins it’s going to put me in line to realise that dream.” “Jenkins is a really good fighter so this has all the ingredients to be a fantastic fight for the fans, with two unbeaten fighters putting it all on the line! But I know I’ve got all the tools to win the fight and I’m confident of doing the business!” Welshman Jenkins has been pursuing the fight with former amateur star Stalker for some time and Jenkins’ manager Paul Boyce is confident of a win for his man
