Found March 13, 2012 on SCACC Hoops:

The first round starts tonight, can you feel the excitement?  It still seems odd to have opening round games, particularly that matter with seeds higher than 16 seed.

As you can see from this week's schedule at the bottom of this post, each of the NCAA tournament teams in the ACC have until Friday before they begin action.  Miami, who is participating in the NIT, plays tomorrow as they host Valpo.  The status of Durand Scott, who was declared ineligible by the NCAA just before the Hurricanes quarterfinal game in the ACC Tourney, is still uncertain.

Elsewhere around the ACC, Georgia Tech's Glen Rice Jr has put himself in the wrong place at the wrong time it appears.  With Rice already being suspended this year twice, one wonders if Brian Gregory will continue to put up with Rice on the roster.

When you see Virginia on Friday, two players will look vastly different.  Mike Scott and Jontel Evans vowed to not cut their until they made the NCAA tournament.
