It was a bad idea to begin with. It didn’t matter if Louisville waived its rights to royalties or adidas decided to give a portion of the money to a scholarship fund, you shouldn’t profit at all on someone’s horrific injury. I am glad they came to their senses. A spokesperson for adidas told USA TODAY Sports that the company has stopped selling t-shirts with Louisville guard Kevin Ware’s No. 5 due to a “use of logo issue.” Granted, Ware is getting more attention now, than he ever would have if he was healthy, but simple rule, if an athlete breaks his leg in half, don’t try to make a quick buck off it, with a $25 tee.

It was just earlier on Wednesday that we praised the Louisville Cardinals for a heartwarming gesture after it was announced that the team would be wearing special warm-ups during its Final Four game against Wichita State this weekend in tribute of Kevin Ware, who suffered a devastating, gruesome leg injury during the team’s NCAA Tournament game on Sunday. Now comes word that the...
ATLANTA With the release of its "Ri5e to the Occasion" T-shirts last week, multi-billion dollar shoe company adidas drew deserved flack for blatantly profiteering off of a collegiate athlete's injury.
The athlete, of course, is No. 5 Kevin Ware, Louisville's athletic guard who graphically broke his leg against Duke in the Elite Eight and is now out of basketball...
How much will Louisville miss Kevin Ware? That's just one of
several questions facing Cards.
Tweet By now most have seen the horrible, unfortunate injury suffered by Louisville Cardinals guard Kevin Ware during the team’s Elite Eight victory over Duke. If you haven’t you can do so here. Since then the outpouring of support the sophomore has received has been nothing short of amazing. He’s received tweets of encouragement [...]
Surprisingly, commemorative 2013 Final Four tee-shirts haven’t been the most popular item for Louisville fans this week. Instead it is the Kevin Ware apparel that has taken the city by storm. Smack Apparel and Adidas have both printed tee-shirts to sell in dedication for Kevin Ware’s injury.
This is the “Win it for Ware” tee-shirt from Smack Apparel.
Smack Apparel will reportedly...
His full-leg cast and crutches aside, Kevin Ware is no different than the rest of his Louisville teammates this week. He's at team meetings. He's going to practice. He's riding the bus. He even put on his jersey to pose for the stock images that will be used during the Final Four telecast.
''He's doing everything he would normally do,'' Peyton Siva...
Kevin Ware will be well represented in the stands when his Louisville Cardinals take on Wichita State in the Final Four Saturday night in Atlanta. Amar’e Stoudemire and his foundation have donated 1,000 Kevin Ware heads for fans to hoist in support of the Cards.
According to Darren Rovell, ESPN:
After Ware fractured his leg in Sunday night’s game against Duke, and the team started...
TV The Louisville guard went on the Late Show to poke some fun at his gruesome injury.
If you haven’t heard about the gruesome leg injury Lousiville guard Kevin Ware suffered during the Regional final last weekend against Duke, you’ve probably been living under a rock.

Peyton Siva warms up in Louisville's controversial 'Ri5e to the Occasion' Kevin Ware tribute shirt for the Final Four.
Who’s not rooting for Louisville?
According to KRP.com, NBA athletes have joined in the Louisville fan section in the hopes of them winning the NCAA Championship. Kevin Ware, who suffered a gruesome leg injury last week during the elite 8 against Duke, has been cleared to travel with the team back to Atlanta, his hometown.
During the game fans don’t have to use just their...
Longest. Week. Ever.
A broken leg so bad you can't look at it. A coach acting so outrageously you can't stop looking at it. A referee boss allegedly putting out a $5K bounty on a coach.
College hoops was all that anyone could talk about this week, and yet it wasn't the teams or the Final Four games that were being talked about.
Thankfully, after all that hoopla, the...
For the past month, I've been trying to figure out what it is about Louisville's historically great pressure defense that made it the prohibitive favorite leading into March, the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, and the all-over-but-the-net-cutting presumptive NCAA champion going into the Final Four.
I looked at all the numbers. The numbers confirmed that, yes...
Although it happened 4 days ago, it is still hard to get away from that Kevin Ware broken leg. That still appears to be the flavor of the week when it comes to the media cycle. Somehow it has made the favorite a sentimental favorite even with a coach who is proven to be a two pump chump and abortion aficionado. Rick Pitino LOL forever. Just remember, kids, that it is...
Unpredictability was anticipated for this year’s tournament and that is exactly what we have gotten. Only Louisville made it to the Final Four out of the number one seeds, and a mid-major is represented with the #9 seeded Wichita State Shockers out of the Missouri Valley Conference. Syracuse and Michigan are both four seeds, and big names schools but both had not been to a Final...
