Murray State guard Jewuan Long says he feels the Racers ''let a lot of people down in life'' after losing for the first time this season. The ninth-ranked Racers need to get over the feeling quickly. Murray State (23-1, 11-1 Ohio Valley Conference) hosts Austin Peay (9-17, 6-6) on Saturday night after the Governors had been the preseason pick to win the conference title. Then, the Racers travel to Southeastern Missouri State on Wednesday before hosting No. 16 St. Mary's on Saturday in the marquee BracketBuster game on national television. Coach Steve Prohm says it was a ''sickening'' feeling to lose for the first time - a 72-68 defeat to Tennessee State on Thursday night - but Murray State's amazing run is far from over.
