Mike Black scored 23 points and Jacob Iati had 20, including connecting on six 3-pointers, to lead Albany (N.Y.) over Rider 70-61 on Saturday night. Jayson Guerrier added 15 points for the Great Danes (17-13), whose victory in this Bracket Busters game gives them two wins in their last three in the wake of a season-high three-game losing skid. The game was close throughout, and Jeff Jones knocked down back-to-back 3-pointers to put the Broncs ahead 26-24 with 4:34 to play before halftime. But Black's three-point play helped inspire a 15-4 Albany run from that juncture into the break, capped by a last-second Iati 3 for a nine-point lead. The Great Danes led the rest of the way, and held on for the win as each team scored 31 points in the second half. Jones had 18 points to pace Rider (11-18).
