Alarming trends are beginning to develop with this team. Yes, we've seen the cracks from the outset, but I'm starting to get the feeling that they can't be fixed. The Cubs wasted a tremendous performance from Sean Marshall Thursday night with yet another horrific showing on offense.
DLee shouldered much of the blame after the loss, and that's admirable. But he's not the sole problem. It's a combined effort from lots of players that are counted on to produce in their respective roles.
And the snowball is picking up speed heading down the hill, growing as large as the Cards lead in the division.
The pertinent questions is when/how this can be fixed? How can DLee get going? What's wrong with Geo? What's wrong with Marmol? Is Bradley going to deliver? Is Fontenot going to be able to produce every day? And whey the hell can't the bullpen come in and not walk anyone?
