Herb Sendek’s ASU Sun Devils will be one of the eight teams taking part in the tournament. Their first contest will be the last game of the day on Nov. 28 against a Creighton squad that ASU played tough last season.

In a meeting with the media Tuesday morning, ASU hoops head coach Herb Sendek announced that the school will honor former star guard Eddie House this season. The school said they will hang his jersey in the rafters, joining such ASU hoopsters as Joe Caldwell, Byron Scott, Lionel Hollins, and the man with one of the best names in ASU history, Fat Lever.
A fascinating report surfaced last night claiming the Pac-12, in an effort spearheaded by ASU, is protesting Grand Canyon University’s move to Division I athletics. The report cites Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott and claims “Pac-12 CEOs” wrote a letter to the NCAA in protest to the idea that the school can compete in Division I athletics.
