Today's 70-66 victory over Rutgers by the Cincinnati Bearcats has clinched a share of the AAC title. It's Cincinnati's first conference championship since the 2004 Conference USA title. Congratulations to the team and the coaches on their accomplishment. Congratulations to the fans as well because 10 years waiting between conference titles was a long, long time. It's a damn good feeling from where I'm sitting. I hope the rest of you feel the same. Sean Kilpatrick had a game high 24 points, which included a huge bucket with 16 seconds left to ice the game. It was an iso from near halfcourt where SK slashed through the defense for a pretty bucket. He's a great player. Memphis defeated SMU. That means that Cincinnati's seed in the conference tournament will come down to at least a coin toss. Cincinnati will win the league outright if Connecticut beats Louisville. There is more to say about this game of course, but all I got is CONFERENCE CHAMPS.
