Tuesday was a busy day for the Louisville men's basketball team, which visited the White House to be honored for winning the NCAA championship in April. It was so busy, in fact, that one Cardinals player -- forward Chane Behanan -- had to pause for a quick cat nap while the team was at the president's crib: Chane is sleeping at the White House. Haha pic.twitter.com/Q73nNCvZxj -- Gorgui Dieng (@GorguiDieng) July 23, 2013 It's hard to blame Behanan, who had 15 points and 12 rebounds in Louisville's championship game victory over Michigan. You'd be tired too if you had the morning he had. The team had already boarded the plane leaving Louisville by 9 a.m. (that's Behanan in the front): Cards are boarded & ready for their flight & visit to the White House #L1C4 pic.twitter.com/spHKspMQI2 -- Kenny Klein (@KKcards) July 23, 2013 Then they sat in miserable traffic between Baltimore and Washington, which will suck the life out of anyone: I'm sure this traffic to Washington is because word is out that the natl champ Cards are headed to the White House pic.twitter.com/VR505oY7bA -- Kenny Klein (@KKcards) July 23, 2013 They got to the White House just after noon: Louisville players are entering the East Wing of the White House #L1C4 pic.twitter.com/H6UDHkdRFn -- Kenny Klein (@KKcards) July 23, 2013 Played with Bo: The first dog makes a visit. #L1C4 pic.twitter.com/i39Ujsb7kq -- Kenny Klein (@KKcards) July 23, 2013 And after his nap, Behanan posed for pictures -- all of that before the ceremony even started: Louisville's Chane Behanan in the White House Blue Room #L1C4 pic.twitter.com/hVMp09dTUE -- Kenny Klein (@KKcards) July 23, 2013 Eventually, President Obama got a custom jersey: Memorable event. Great day in our nation's Capitol today. Honored to have the opportunity -- Kenny Klein (@KKcards) July 24, 2013 So you go ahead and take that nap, Chane Behanan. And take it wherever you want. You deserve it, and I'm sure Mr. Obama will understand.
