Elbert Robinson, a 6-foot-10, 265-pound, prospect from Garland, TX., is one of the very few big men in the 2014 class that is being actively pursued by Rick Pitino and his staff. Robinson has always been considered to be one of the top ten centers in the 2014 class, but that was mostly based on his massive size and potential. At the NBAPA top 100 camp last week Robinson showed that he’s recently added some polish to his game. He averaged 10.2 points and 6.2 rebounds at the camp. Robinson isn’t a name that you’ve heard mentioned with Louisville all that often in recent months, but assistant coach Wyking Jones’ hard work is paying off. “Next month, I plan on going to Louisville on an official visit,” Robinson tells Jeff Borzello of CBS Sports. Ohio State, Georgetown and Kansas appear to be the three other schools that are in good shape with Robinson.
