Michigan faces off against Wisconsin this afternoon in Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal action. The Badgers will be playing their first game in Chicago while Michigan topped Penn State on Thursday afternoon. Will Michigan benefit from the early adjustment to the United Center on Thursday or will the Wolverines suffer from tired legs. John Beilein will hope for the former as Michigan looks for a second win at the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since 1998.

Michigan basketball did today what they couldn’t do in Happy Valley, the finished off Penn State. Eerily for Michigan fans, the Wolverines went up by 15 at nearly the exact same time they did on the road v. this same team. This time, Michigan dropped the hammer and won by a final knockout of 83-66.

Michigan basketball has a seen a bit of a resurgence the last few years. But, much like the fruit stripe gum their horrible jerseys hearken to, this short run will leave a flat taste in your mouth, making you wish for more. The Wolverines are just another school that has a deal with adidas wearing these horrific uniforms. Nobody has it worse than Notre Dame and their Shamrock Shake unis.
