Boston College has landed their first 2012 pledge, 6′-1″ point guard Joe Rahon of Torrey Pines (CA), according to Bodie De Silva of San Diego Sports and more. Rahon also had offers from Oregon, Stanford, St. Mary’s, California, USC and San Diego State, according to San Diego Sports and more. Rahon ran the point for the talented Dream Vision team over the summer, which was led by the nation’s best 2012 player, Shabazz Muhmmad. He showed toughness, and the ability to put the ball in the hands of his talented teammates. When given the opportunity, he showed a nice outside stroke, and hit some jump shots. When he got to the foul line, he consistently converted. Rahon is the younger brother of James Rahon, the talented San Diego State shooting guard. After bringing in a huge 2011 recruiting class, which included four players from Southern California, Boston College can afford to be more selective with their 2012 recruiting efforts.
