Eric Crawford of WDRB.com is reporting that Chane Behanan has suffered a moderate high ankle sprain in practice and will likely miss a week-to-ten days, per Rick Pitino. Behanan will not travel with the team to Seton Hall tomorrow. Freshman Montrezl Harrell is expected to start in his place.
Behanan wasn’t expected to play in Louisville’s last game against Providence, due to flulike symptoms, but ended up playing, scoring 10 points.
In 14 games this season Behanan is averaging 11 points and 7 rebounds. There isn’t a huge drop off when Montrezl Harrell comes into the game, but Behanan has played some of his best basketball in recent weeks. Hopefully this is a minor injury that keeps him out for just the next two games.
