Chinanu Onuaku, a 6-foot-9 center from Upper Marlboro, MD., is one of two recruits that are taking unofficial visits to Louisville this weekend. Of all the big men in the 2014 class that have scholarships offers from Rick Pitino, Onuaku is a little late to the party. I think its safe to say that Onuaku wasn’t option number one for Coach Pitino, but the fact that he has a scholarship offer should let you know how interested the Louisville staff really is. The interest level is apparently mutual. “Right now I believe Louisville is the front-runner,” Onuaku’s coach tells Steve Jones of the Courier-Journal. “He likes that there is an opportunity for him to come in here and play, a possibility for him to get a good education. Those two alone are top priorities on his list.” Onuaku isn’t as highly ranked as some of Pitino’s other targets, but he does have an impressive offer list, which includes Maryland, Georgetown, UConn and Xavier, among others.
