Cashmere Wright scored 20 points before leaving with an injury, leading Cincinnati to a 75-70 victory over DePaul Tuesday night. Cincinnati (15-3, 3-2 Big East) won its second straight game after breaking a two-game losing streak at Rutgers. DePaul (10-7, 1-3) has lost four of its last five games. Wright went down with an apparent right knee injury with 15:12 remaining. Playing defense, he had leaned toward a DePaul player when his leg gave out and he collapsed to the floor. Wright left the court and later returned to the Cincinnati bench but did not play again. Wright had been the dominant player Tuesday, scoring his 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting and handing out seven assists. The Bearcats led by 13 points when he exited. Cleveland Melvin led DePaul with 32 points, 10 in the last 2:03 when the Blue Demons cut a 12-point lead to three.

Cincinnati 75 DePaul 70

The Bearcats improved to 15-3, 3-2 in the Big East with a win over 10-7, 1-3 DePaul last night. Obviously the big news of the day is Cashmere Wright and his injury. Wright is day to day with a sprained knee. He's day to day, we're all day to day. There's no word if Wright will return for this weekend's game with Marquette. There won't be until later in the week...

Cincinnati 68 Rutgers 58

For the second time in about 3 weeks, Cincinnati beat an opponent 68-58. This time it was Big East foe Rutgers that the Bearcats dismantled. This Cincinnati team is not the same one as the one that played Wright State though. The Bearcats have seemed to embrace the slow down nature that they have been forced to play lately. Cincinnati is averaging 61 possessions a game in Big East...

Bearcats Dump DePaul

Cincinnati surged past DePaul with some great second half defense to win 75-70  tonight. You know what that means.... UPSIDE DOWN DEPAUL LOGO.  Cincinnati got off to a very slow start, slowly strangled the life out of DePaul's offense, and then in a wild turn of events, the teams traded shots to close the first half. Cincinnati broke the 30 point mark in the first...
