Michael Carter-Williams SG Syracuse- 2.7pts 1.5reb. Williams only played sparingly as a freshman, but showed glimpses of the phenomenal talent he can be. His jump shot is smooth and efficient, but it’s his passing and vision that really makes him special. If he adds some bulk a top teen pick will be in his future.

NCAAB Studs Vol. 6: CJ Fair
Vol. 1 Vol. 2 Vol. 3 Vol.4 Vol.5 CJ Fair (Junior, Syracuse): After being relegated to a bench role in his first two years at Syracuse, Fair will finally get an opportunity to start. At 6’8”, Fair has the size to play power forward, but is athletic enough to play at the top of Jim Boeheim’s 2-3 zone as a shooting guard. In addition, Syracuse has so many other offensive...
Battle of Midway outdoor basketball game postponed
PPD. The acronym used for decades in baseball. It signified a delay. A delay that usually involves rain. Syracuse was scheduled to take on San Diego State Friday night, but modern science has informed us that there is a 75% … Continue reading →
Cooney’s Comeback: How the SU Sharpshooter is Making Up for Lost Time
Trevor Cooney is like a ghost story. Everyone’s really interested, but no one has seen much of him. Since getting to Syracuse in August of 2011, the Delaware native has yet to play an official game with the Orange. This year, he plans for that to change.
He redshirted last season because of SU’s depth in the back court. An October tonsillectomy knocked him out of 14 practices...
Embarrassment of Riches: Syracuse Adds Another 5-Star Stud in McCullough

Jim Boeheim and Orange hoops reeled in five more stars last night. That’s 14 stars over the last three weeks if you’re keeping count. Five-star Class of 2014 PF Chris McCullough became the latest Syracuse commit, a day after his Brewster Academy teammate, Ron Patterson, also chose SU. It was a no-brainer for the Bronx native.
“When I was on their campus, I felt...
Syracuse Mistakes Doom Chances v. Cincinnati
As you are well aware, the Syracuse Orange continued a truly maddening season by dropping an eminently winnable game v. Cincinnati on Saturday. Even with a horrific officiating crew consistently blowing calls that went in favor of the Bearcats, this was Syracuse's game to win, and like Northwestern, Minnesota and Rutgers, they didn't.Penalties, turnovers, horrific special...
McCullough goes with Syracuse
Chris McCullough made an early decision on Monday by verbally committing to Jim Boeheim and Syracuse.
Permanent Captains Installed: What Took Syracuse & Marrone So Long?
Doug Marrone has decided to establish permanent captains for the final three weeks of the season. You have to wonder what took so long? Syracuse had been using a rotating system, where the four Orange captains were voted on every week depending on leadership shown in practice. But for SU’s stretch run, it’s going to be Ryan Nassib, Justin Pugh, Siriki Diabate, and Shamarko Thomas...
Triche's 23 leads Syracuse over Bloomsburg 103-60
Brandon Triche had 23 points and seven assists, James Southerland added 17 points and No. 9 Syracuse beat Bloomsburg 103-60 in an exhibition game Sunday.
The Huskies, who lost 87-65 to Towson in an exhibition Thursday, stayed close against the Orange at the outset. Nasir Jones hit a 3-pointer from the wing and followed with a runner in the lane to move Bloomsburg within 15-12 less...
