Surprisingly, commemorative 2013 Final Four tee-shirts haven’t been the most popular item for Louisville fans this week. Instead it is the Kevin Ware apparel that has taken the city by storm. Smack Apparel and Adidas have both printed tee-shirts to sell in dedication for Kevin Ware’s injury.
This is the “Win it for Ware” tee-shirt from Smack Apparel.
Smack Apparel will reportedly donate all proceeds from this shirt to a charity.
This is an officially licensed tee-shirt from Adidas and the University of Louisville.
Numerous national sites had been reporting that Louisville would be making money from Ware’s injury with the proceeds from this shirt, considering it is officially licensed and was for sale on the school’s website.
Eric Crawford of WDRB.com spoke to the folks at the University of Louisville to quickly put that rumor to rest. Here is an excerpt from Crawford’s column.
U of L sports information director Kenny Klein, however, said that the university isn’t raking in cash fr...

It was just earlier on Wednesday that we praised the Louisville Cardinals for a heartwarming gesture after it was announced that the team would be wearing special warm-ups during its Final Four game against Wichita State this weekend in tribute of Kevin Ware, who suffered a devastating, gruesome leg injury during the team’s NCAA Tournament game on Sunday. Now comes word that the...
ESPN conducted the first interview with Kevin Ware post injury and released the footage this morning. Even if you aren’t a college basketball fan (why are you on this site?), watch. Not a Louisville fan? Watch.
This is the kind of stuff that makes “based on a true story” sports movies.
“That was the last thing going through my head. I honestly wasn’t concerned about the...
Whether you were watching live or not, you've most likely seen Kevin Ware's gruesome injury in the Louisville game. Just seeing the injury caused my body instantly assume the classic fight or fright pose - I ducked, I blinked, my eyes widened, my chin went down, and I made fists. And I was on my couch, at home, drinking beer. The bench players next to him freaked out. One...

According to Darren Rovell, ESPN:
After Ware fractured his leg in Sunday night’s game against Duke, and the team started...

During the game fans don’t have to use just their...
Longest. Week. Ever.
A broken leg so bad you can't look at it. A coach acting so outrageously you can't stop looking at it. A referee boss allegedly putting out a $5K bounty on a coach.
College hoops was all that anyone could talk about this week, and yet it wasn't the teams or the Final Four games that were being talked about.
Thankfully, after all that hoopla, the...
For the past month, I've been trying to figure out what it is about Louisville's historically great pressure defense that made it the prohibitive favorite leading into March, the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament, and the all-over-but-the-net-cutting presumptive NCAA champion going into the Final Four.
I looked at all the numbers. The numbers confirmed that, yes...
Unpredictability was anticipated for this year’s tournament and that is exactly what we have gotten. Only Louisville made it to the Final Four out of the number one seeds, and a mid-major is represented with the #9 seeded Wichita State Shockers out of the Missouri Valley Conference. Syracuse and Michigan are both four seeds, and big names schools but both had not been to a Final...
