Russ Smith and Gorgui Dieng were named First Team All-Big East earlier this morning. This marks the first time since joining the Big East that Louisville has had multiple people on the team. Peyton Siva was selected as a Third Team All-Big East honoree.
Only twice before have the Cards had people get this honor, David Padgett in 2007-2008 and Terrence Williams in 2008-2009. This...
A lot is going to happen between now and June's NBA Draft. The San Antonio Spurs are likely to make a run deep in to playoffs. They might even win the NBA title. Even if that happens there will still be improvements to be made, particularly on the interior, though the trio of Tim Duncan, Tiago Splitter and Boris Diaw has proved to be a much better interior line than last...
No overtime this time, smiles all around

Sorry for the delayed post-game reaction. As I’m sure you could expect, yesterday called for a celebration. Last year on Senior Day, Louisville came out and laid an egg, losing to USF. This year they played in a game where they had a Big East Championship on the line and the Cards did not disappoint. It didn’t take any overtimes this time as the Cards downed the Irish 73-57. Peyton Siva, Gorgui Dieng, and Mike Marra will go out as winners.
