Malcolm Hill – No. 21 Freshman Belleville, Illinois Belleville East High School 6’6″ 210 lbs. Shooting Guard/Small Forward  Malcolm Hill was a consensus National Top 75 recruit who averaged 25.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 1.9 blocks a senior. Hill finished third in voting for Illinois Mr. Basketball and was selected to first team all-state by the Associated Press, Champaign-Urbana News Gazette and IBCA. Malcolm is Belleville East’s all-time leading scorer with a little over 2,000 points. Malcolm scored 23 points for the IBCA All-Star Game and finished ranked 62nd by Rivals.com and 66th by ESPN during his senior season. As a junior, Hill averaged 21.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks was also a first team all-state selection. Hill is currently averaging 10.8 minutes of a play and 3.3 points per contest as a true freshman. Hill has climbed up the ladder of playing time since the beginning of the year and has no intention of letting that slip. Hill shows an unbelievable amount of potential, and he may just have the most overall talent on this Illini team. As a freshman who just turned 18 in October, Hill is still learning how it is to play in the B1G, but this is a great year for him to learn and become accustom to playing big time college basketball. Hill is very athletic and a do-it-all type of player. Hill has a great mid-range game and is a decent outside shooter and is certainly getting better by the day. Things are very bright for Malcolm as he is just a freshman with lots of time to learn. _________ Photo(s): HeraldReview Author informationJimmy HayesSports Mockery at Featured ColumnistTwitterFacebookThe post Fighting Illini Player Profile: Malcolm Hill appeared first on Sports Mockery.
