Virginia Tech transfer Dorian Finney-Smith was on the Louisville campus from Sunday-Tuesday. He and his mother reportedly left town very impressed. I had heard from sources close to the program on Monday evening that Finney-Smith was Louisville’s to lose.  “The visit was cool,” his mother, Desiree, told Adam Zagoria of “I loved it. It wasn’t like I thought it was. I thought it was country.” Louisville was one of the two visits that Finney-Smith had setup. The other one was to Iowa State on June 7-9. Fred Hoiberg and the Cyclones have been mentioned since the day Finney-Smith announced his intentions to transfer. I’m not sure what the connection is there, but his mother reportedly is very high on Iowa State. However, Hoiberg may have a lot of work to do. It’s been reported that Louisville and Florida are the two main contenders for Finney-Smith. He didn’t schedule a visit to Gainesville, because he had already made a previous visit while he was being recruited out of hig...

The 6-7 forward has very much enjoyed his time here in the Derby City over the past two days. Nothing has been officially reported just yet, but...

Virginia Tech Hoops Late Review/Early Preview

It would be safe to say that this was a season Hokie fans would like to forget in a lot of ways. The season was disappointing, finishing 16-17 and 4-12 in the ACC, and coach Seth Greenberg was fired in late April. Let's not forget the mass exodus of assistant coaches that left before Greenberg's firing too. Fortunately, James Johnson, who had left three weeks prior, agreed...

CB Darius Jones Shows Out At Virginia Tech

Turning in one remarkable performance at Virginia Tech this past weekend 2013 Woodruff High School cornerback Darius Jones put everyone on notice that he's ready to "blow up".
