Trevor Lacey’s last shot in an Alabama uniform will be remembered as an open jumper that clunked off the rim and ended the Crimson Tide season, a 58-57 loss to Maryland in the quarterfinals of the NIT Tournament at the end of the 2012-13 season. But Lacey will be remembered more as the second returning starter to leave the team before the start of the 2012-14 season.

That is a full-page advertorial in today’s Crimson White, the University of Alabama student newspaper. The Crimson Tide are 19-9, presumably a couple wins away from an NCAA bid &...

The Alabama Crimson Tide called it a “business trip” to Puerto Rico as they looked to exorcise demons from last season’s performance at the Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands. So far so good for Tide basketball as they opened the Puerto Rico tip-off with a 62-42 win the Maryland Terrapins.
It was a wire-to-wire victory for the Crimson Tide. Alabama took the lead right from...
